What's the deal with wedding presents in the uk?
I know that in the US the norm is to send the gift to the couples house before the wedding, but what's the done thing in the uk? I've seen lots of people take gifts with them to the reception and evening do and I've heard of this happening more so that sending the gifts prior to the wedding, but I'm not really sure what the proper ettiquette is.Thanks for any responses.

ok we all know that in the news kim kardashian is getting divorced after 72 days of marriage.. there was an article about her needing to give back all the wedding gifts..who thinks she is suppose, what is the etiquette when it comes to returning gifts after the wedding and only having been married under a years, in this case 72 days. ??
Flat screen tv as wedding present for fiance?
My fiance and I are getting married in May 2012. We were discussing what we could get each other as our wedding presents to each other. He said he would like a 22 inch flat screen tv for our kitchen because he likes watching tv while he eats breakfast and makes his lunch. This just seems like such an unsentimental wedding gift. I was originally going to get him a nice watch but he said he has enough watches already. Is a flat screen tv an ok wedding gift for my fiance?
