I need ideas for sympathy gifts! Please help!?
I need meaningful gift ideas for the two daughters ages 8 and 5 of a friend who lost his mother last night. They were very close to their grandmother and we are close to them. Their father grew up with my husband and our children have played together since birth..I do not want to send the girls flowers and I do not have any pics of their grandmother so don't suggest those. But I would like to give them something sweet and meaningful so they know we love them and are thinking of them. Please give me some great ideas.

Does anyone know where to find african american gifts and keepsakes? My husband has recently lost his mother and the other places I have looked have things like african american figurines but thats not what I'am looking for. I have looked on other sites and they offer things like personalized prayer plaques and things like that but they are all based on white peoples beliefs and religions not that I'm racist but I would really like to get him something from his background and heritage something nice that I can personalize for him when mothers day comes around I can give it to him so he can have something to remember his mother and give him some comfort.
