Birthday presents for grandma?
preferably something i can make, because i'm trying to save up my money, and i doubt she'll want like use anything i buy her.

Short story My grandmother raised me from the time I was born, I now live across the country from her and miss her very much. I want to send her a surprise 'thinking of you just because' present. She lives in Montana, very cold I am trying to decide between a breadmaker because she does a lot of baking and really enjoys it OR a down comforter since it's cold and she usually uses several blankets at night. I can't make up my mind between the two... I know she loves bread, but I don't know if she'd like a breadmaker and she already has a lot of blankets, but maybe she'd like a nice new one. What do you think??Each one is about $100.00 after shipping, unfortunetely I can't afford both, but I want one of the two.My grandma doesn't have the money to buy things like this for herself, that is why I am as a gift... she lives on social security as she cannot work anymore.
80th birthday present for Grandma?
Well, my Grannie is turning 80 soon and i want to give her something different, and special, not just flowers chocolates jewellery etc, but something that is really meaningful to the 80 years of her life. I really love her so much, and i want to get her something so so special. Maybe including a photo or something, something that she can treasure and remind her of her beautiful self and all her life.Do you guys have any ideas?BTW, im only 14, and so i dont have much money. But i want it to be more from the heart rather than purse...

My boyfriend and I are going shoping for a birthday present for his grandmother. She is pretty immoble and spends most of her time sitting in her reclining chair where she also sleeps and watching TV. She enjoys watching tv, and looking out the window to watch the birds..and thats about it My boyfriend bought her a VCR DVD player for xmas this past christmas but she does not use it. She does not like movies, she is more intrested in regular television. I suggested a bird feeder since she enjoys watching the birds, but thats what he got her last year She does not like to read or do crosswords another suggestion I had I dont know what else to suggest I'm going to bake her an assortment of cookies, but my boyfriend wanted to get her an actual gift. He said that she will surely love the cookies but that she is kind of materialistic

I'm on a pretty tight budget $50 is pretty much all I can do . She gets inundated with personal, family items every year photos, movies, scrapbooks, etc. , which are great, but I wanted to do a little something different.
