Question about family gifts?
my family go big with christmas gifts...even at 27..my mom and dad spoil me at xmas...they just view it as a time to give to those you love and they love to see the suprise on mine and my siblings facesNow that I am 27 and have a good job i give really nice gifts to my parents and siblings who are all younger than me.My husbands family don't give us gifts...well his parents will give us socks etc...but his two older brothers who are 30 and 27 don't....my husband is 25. Anyways since my husband sees me giving nice gifts to my family he insists on doing the same for his....its been happening every birthday and xmas for the past 3 years......but we get no gifts back....to be its not about the money...its just you'd think they'd make some sort of effort....i don't believe its a money issue on their behalf as everyone seems financially comfortable.I mentioned this year that i didn't want to spend as much on my hubands family and he got mad so I said forget it and we mailed them a big box of gifts....we got two xmas cards back in the mail...and nothing else.maybe i am been ridiculous...??????????first woman who replied...said its not a balance sheet and give from my heart...don't feel this is the case...as i spoil my little brothers and sisters along with little cousins and of course I am not expecting that in return from them......i just feel like any kind of gift would be meaningful...imagine giving someone a gift year after year..and birthday after birthday never to get something back...they manage to send xmas cards..but not even a birthday card

Should i get my girlfriends family gifts for Christmas if I...?
I recently got in to a fight and broke up with my girlfriend this led to me threatening to tell her dad the things we did well really show him what we did, bottom line she lied and i made a stupid threat. Anyways she told her dad what we have done, this made us get back together for some reason. My question is this, after all this keep in mind her family hasn't really like me for the beginning should i buy them gifts for christmas. Her 15 year old sister seems really mad at me were seventeen and shes in to the wii and little fighting games, so i thought i might get her zelda. What do you think i should do, to be honest i did this and need all the help i can get to get there trust back.

Well, my wife lives in south america. Ive been away for 6 months going to college in the states. Im coming back a week in two weeks. Now my wife lives with her family. She has around 10 nephews 4 sisters and two brothers, and my mothe rin law. Now, i dont know if i should get them all gifts. There is too many, and if i bring some a gift theh others will prob take it in bad way. What should i do
